Services were held Monday, February 6, 2012 at Rideouts Chapel, Elemwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL


 
RAWLINSON, ELIZABETH BOATNER age 85, of Birmingham went home to live with her heavenly father Thursday evening, February 2, 2012. She was a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and was a retired realtor. Elizabeth had a passion for others, treating all with great kindness and respect. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She was a woman of tremendous faith, tenacity, empathy, and strength. Elizabeth instilled these qualities into her loved ones. These traits were ingrained into her character as seen in her everyday life even as she entered into the great Kingdom of Heaven. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of many forever. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Glenn Eldon Rawlinson, her grandson Brett Rustin Peters, and her brothers Robert Earl Boatner, and Lester Franklin Boatner. Survivors include her three daughters, Glenda Peters (John) of Eatonton, GA, Patti Holt (Dr. Bobby), and Marla Flynn (Mike) of Birmingham; grandchildren, Dr. Brandon Peters (Dr. Romsel Ang) of Saraland, Bragan Peters of Eatonton, GA, Jarod Holt (Liz), Tyler Holt (Becky), and Fleming Long (Chad), all of Birmingham; great grandchildren, Dylan, Madison, and Carter Peters, all of Saraland, and Jonathan Holt of Birmingham; sister-in-laws June Kennedy of Pleasant Grove and Grace Prater (Jerry) of Birmingham; several nephews and one niece, and very special family friends Becky and Rodger Overton of Birmingham. The family wishes to express their deep appreciation to the doctors & nurses of Brookwood Hospital for their compassionate care. A memorial service celebrating Elizabeth's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 6, 2012 at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel. The Rev. Johnny Mount is officiating. The family will receive friends at noon prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital, the American Cancer Society , or the American Heart Association .

March 7, 1995 - December 16, 2011

Every time Show Nuff and Helen graced the show arena whether it be at a Saturday show, Class A show or Regionals....they were a beautiful dynamic duo.

Just a few of Show Nuff's acomplishments:

Regional Championships, Reserve Championships and Top Fives in Regions 1, 2, 3, 5, 9, 10, 11, and 12, 2000 U.S. National Championship, 2001 Canadian National Reserve Championship, 2001 U.S. National Championship, Two 2002 Canadian National Top Tens, and most recent Two Region 12 Top Fives along with numerous Class A blue Ribbons, Championships and Reserve Championships.

Bajha Bey V

(Huckleberry Bey x Baychaska by *Bask)

Varian bred stallion Bajha Bey V,  foaled June 20, 1990 died November 6, 2011 from Colic. He lived 3 years of his life in California with his breeder Shelia Varian & the last 19 yrs in Middle Tennessee.

Bajha was a very special horse & friend, he will be sadly missed.
